How to Train Yourself Like Professional Gamers? Hear What Yeren Ana Said

It is never easy to achieve outstanding performance in competitive games, not to mention using heroes that require great aiming skills. Unlike ordinary gamers, esports athletes and game streamers have their personal ways of practicing aiming and movement in competitive games.
Yeren Ana is in the Top 500 of the Overwatch Chinese server, and he even reached Top 1 once. In addition, he is an esports athlete who took part in the Overwatch Open Division and Overwatch Courage Cup. Today, Gamers Radar is honored to invite him to talk about how he practices his in-game skills daily!
“First thing first, I practice my aiming in-game for more than 20 minutes before I starting to play the game officially. I usually do the warm-up before I get into actual matches,” Yeren said.
Mechanics like aiming and movement are the basis of the game, before get into the full game, use specialized training to practice your aiming and have a quicker reflection. Here is an example video of how professional gamers train their aiming, check it out!
“I also manage my emotion before getting into the game,” Yeren said. “I tell myself I won’t get mad and I will perform seriously in the match.”
Before you get into actual matches, have advanced emotional management and calm yourself down. Positive emotions can greatly improve your performance and enable you to be focused in the game.
“After the matches, I review the recorded videos of my gameplay. I analyse the performance of myself and opponents,” he said. “I analyse why we lost and what we could have done to win the team fight.”
Self-reflection is crucial for improvement since it is a way of review and reanalyse. If you can find your flaws, it is easier to correct them the next time.
“Watching videos of other professional gamers can definitely help, I constantly watch the streams of my peers and learn new strategies,” Yeren said.
